Welcome Houseguests,

First off, Cersei, as outgoing Head of Household you will not participate.

Simba is growing up to be a promising cub, but Timon and Pumbaa want to make sure that he is completely ready to be the rightful king. They want to test him on his problem solving skills and how well he works under pressure, so they are coming up with a few puzzles to prepare him.

Tonight this challenge will have TWO parts.

In the first part, you will be looking at a list of twenty six words and you will add a different letter of the alphabet to each of these words to create amother English word. You must use each letter from A to Z exactly once. When you submit your answer key in your Diary Room, you will include both the new word and the letter added to the original word (example: if the original word is "twine" you may add “r” to produce the word “winter”). So yes, you can and you will need to unscramble.

I will post an example of this from the first season of Big Brother Evolution.

I have an answer key of my own, so I know there’s at least one perfect answer. If you find other solutions, as long as they fit, then I have no issues accepting them as correct.

Each correctly spelled English word will yield one point for you.

In the second part, I will be giving you a list of sequences of orange digits followed by a yellow number. In each row, the orange digits can be manipulated to create the yellow number using basic mathematical symbols.

For example, if your sequence is 1 1 2 2 : 144

The correct solution would “12*12” because you can arrange every digit to create the expression “12*12”, which is equal to “144”, the yellow number.

Please note that you must use every digit. You may not omit any or add in extra. The only mathematical symbols I am allowing for this challenge are: + (addition), - (subtraction), * (multiplication), / (division). So no logarithmic expressions, no trigonometric expressions, no factorials, no combinations, no permutations, no fractions (just whole numbers), no exponents, etc. I know you math lovers are creative but we are keeping it simple! There is at least one possible correct solution for each sequence, but if you find another solution within the parameters, that’s fine too. You may rearrange orange digits or combine them however you like; however you may not rearrange the yellow number.

Each correct equation will yield two points for you.

The houseguest with the most points after sixty minutes will become our new Head of Household. You may submit only ONCE. This means you must submit your answer key in ONE post.

- You must create as many correctly spelled English words in the first part
- You must create as many correct math equations in the second part
- Your first submission within sixty minutes will count as your official submission
- The houseguest with the most points after sixty minutes will become the new Head of Household; in the event of a tie, time will be the deciding factor
