How to Earn BBQ Dollars


Along the season, you will get opportunities to win some BBQ dollars at the Pixar Pier, but here are the main ways to fill your BBQ Bank Account with BBQ dollars. Those dollars can only be redeemed within the game, it's not money you will receive at the end of the game.


The Cave of Wonders if opened 24/7 for those who have done enough to be worthy. If you wait to the very last second to make purchases, that is on you, but since the forum has timestamps, we will of course honour purchases made if it was before a deadline.


- You get 5 BBQ dollars every time you participate in a challenge. This means you submit a real submission with answers, or you participate in the live challenge. In season 4, people were sending nonsense or just a period to "participate." Well, that's not true participating. If you are throwing it, you are not participating. I mean you can throw, but it can't be obvious to us that you didn't even try if you want the BBQ dollars.

- You get 10 BBQ dollars every time you vote on time.

- You get a bonus 5 BBQ dollars if you vote within the first 5 hours of votes opening.

- You get 5 BBQ dollars per day that you post a Diary Room entry sharing your thoughts about what's going on in the game. It has to be at least 100 words to qualify (it can be a total of 100 words for the day, it doesn't have to be all in one post. They can also be video Diary Room entries like Tonya Harding did season 5). This is between 12:00:00am EST to 11:59:59pm EST each day.

- You get 5 BBQ dollars per day that you post a trust ranking in your Diary Room. You don't have to give detailed reasons for each of your rankings, but for it to count, it must include every cast member left in a clear order from most trusted to least trusted. Please make a thread in your Diary Room called "Trust Rankings" to post them in daily.  This is between 12:00:00am EST to 11:59:59pm EST each day.

- You get BBQ dollars if you win HOH. 20 BBQ dollars for your 1st HOH win - 25 for your 2nd HOH win - 30 for your 3rd HOH win - 40 for your 4th HOH win - 50 for your 5th or more HOH wins.

- You get 10 BBQ dollars if you win the POV + 5 BBQ dollars if you use the POV.

- You get 5 BBQ dollars if you survive the block on eviction night.

Sharing Money Rules

You can transfer some of your BBQ dollars but there are rules

- You can only do THREE transfers for the whole time you're in the game
- If you want to transfer your money to someone before you're evicted, it has to be done BEFORE. It can't be done once eviction is posted. You also can't get your money back if you end up staying unless that person wants to give it back to you.
- You have to post in your money thread that you are transferring your money, how much and to whom.
- There's a freeze on transfers the last hour of the voting period. So let's say you have 12 hours to vote & voting opens up at 11:30pm EST, this means you can transfer money up until 10:30am EST since there's a freeze on the last hour. This is too avoid last minute madness.


Selling Items Rule

You can sell an item that are TRANSFERABLE if you want to or you can just give it away.

- You can only do THREE sales for the whole time you're in the game
- You can sell it for whatever price you want, but it can't be lower than $50 BBQ dollars
- You have to post in your money thread that wish to sell your item with the Houseguest you are selling it to. That Houseguest has to tell us in their money thread that they wish to buy your item from you & you must both post the agreed upon price


You can use as many powers as you want in the same round.
